Second Nature’s Eco Edventures are magical,fun, learning experiences to empower people of all ages and abilities from early year groups, all key stages of Primary and Secondary Schools through to lifelong learning groups of young at heart adults.
Learning opportunities are linked to and enhance the objectives of the national curriculum.
School Visits
Half day or full day environmental workshops on recycling and greener living, enhancing school grounds, encouraging birds and other wildlife, traditional nature studies focused around species and habitats; learning to pond dip, discover minibeasts, trees, mammals, etc. Visits can be linked with National Environmental awareness dates such as National Tree Week, Seed Gathering Week, Big Schools Birdwatch, School Grounds Week and International Earth day. Sessions all help towards gaining Eco School Green Flags and Sustainable School Awards.
Woodland Visits
Second Nature works in partnership with the rangers and staff at Gelli Aur in Carmarthenshire and the National Trust’s Colby Woodland & Garden in Pembrokeshire. Make use of these unique sites all year round with a dynamic day of activities to get really close to nature in fantastic settings, huge variety of majestic trees, large ponds & streams full of all types of wetland creatures, great variety of birds and other wildlife.
